In summer 2019 was asked to create an animation for Nike to celebrate the history of the iconic Nike Air Plus TN and the evolution of the Nike logo. Introduced as a running shoe in 1998, the TNs were invented by Sean McDowell when he lived in Florida in the 90s - the distinctive patterns on the side of the shoe inspired by palm trees he saw on the beaches there. I wanted to highlight one of the shoe's most celebrated design features, the tuned air cushioning by having items in the video inflate as the suitably 90s looking protagonist - complete with wraparound sunglasses, pony tail and tribal tattoo - runs past them.

My animation was one of eight different videos, each by a different animator celebrating a different iconic shoe and nike logo. The videos were used as paid ads on Nike and Footlocker social pages and posted to all animators’ socials as part of a seeding campaign.
