In 2013 I had the honour of designing the cover for J Dilla's posthumously released "The Anthem". I had been in contact with Jeff Jank, Stones Throw's Creative Director previously and he had seen an "inner city Hawaiian shirt" design on my blog that he'd liked. I'd made for as an entry to an online t-shirt competition where it had failed miserably and had been dropped from voting after one day. I redrew it from scratch and it became the artwork below. ▼
