In the winter of 2022 I was approached to create an animation to announce England’s World Cup 2022 squad. The key requirement of the brief was to find a way to include the England fans back at home, not just the players. The solution I came up with was to reveal the players in four detailed scenes of football fans from across the country, keeping the reveals looking as natural as possible in each scene. The animation was used on the official England Instagram and Twitter as the key graphic to announce the squad.
